A Stevenage man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to theft and breaching a community protection notice (CPN).
It was reported that at around 9pm last Wednesday (August 30), cosmetics were stolen from Tesco Express on Market Hill in Royston.
Paul McGee, aged 52, of Vardon Road in Stevenage, was arrested in Royston the following day on suspicion of theft, and for having also breached a CPN, which had previously been issued in relation to anti-social behaviour.

McGee appeared at Hatfield Magistrates Court on Friday (September 1) and, having pleaded guilty to the offences, and was ordered to pay £25 compensation for the theft, a £50 fine for failure to comply with the CPN, £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
