The cause of a Stevenage holidaymaker's death in Ibiza cannot be determined, a coroner has concluded.

Conor Spraggs, 23, from Stevenage, died in Ibiza in August 2018 after a fight with other British holidaymakers just hours before he was due to fly home.

Described by friend Bradley Pearce as "a gentle soul with a heart of gold", Conor - a former Thomas Alleyne student who worked with luxury furniture - was on a night out in San Antonio Paseo, San Antonio, when the fight broke out.

Post mortem tests showed he had suffered chest trauma, Hertfordshire's senior coroner Geoffrey Sullivan heard, but that there was no clear, determining factor in Mr Spraggs' death.

Mr Sullivan therefore recorded an open conclusion.

Following Mr Spraggs' death, his family set up The Conor Spraggs Foundation, to support other families whose loved ones have died abroad.

The foundation was wound up earlier this year, with the family explaining that "what started in the early months after Conor's death as something to focus our attention on, has become a source of worry and too much work.

"We still do not have closure over Conor's death and court case.

"The money we have raised will be donated to charity."
