Mystery surrounds the future of much-loved Hitchin restaurant Deroka, but has it closed down?
Diners reported booking tables at the Mediterranean restaurant in Sun Street last weekend, only to find it was closed.
And when Comet reporter Dan Mountney headed down on Monday afternoon after their 12pm opening time, it was shut once again, with menus outside removed and blinds pulled down.

Deroka's wesbite is no longer accessible, and calls to the restaurant went unanswered, but no official announcement about the restaurant's future has been made on social media.
Specialising in traditional Mediterranean cuisine, the Sun Street eatery was among Hitchin's most popluar, and would be a big loss for the town.
The Comet have made efforts to contact Deroka, but is yet to receive a response.
