Stevenage Museum has planned an exciting range of events for children to enjoy during the school summer holidays, which began earlier this month.
Throughout August, kids can take part in creative activities and fun historical sessions, all for the bargain price of £4 per activity, or £2 for concessions.
In the first week, children can make a shoe box shop, decorate a shopping bag, or make some play food, while in the second week they can learn about the world of creepy crawlies.
From August 16 there will be a week of sessions about the awesome ancient Greeks before the programme concludes with activities focused on the natural world.

August at Stevenage Museum promises to be an exciting month for adults too, with its free annual Railway Day on Saturday, August 5, featuring a number of layouts from local model railway clubs. Entry is free and the event will last from 11am until 4pm.
Cllrr Loraine Rossati, portfolio holder for culture and leisure at Stevenage Borough Council, said: “We’ve got four weeks of fun activities planned at Stevenage Museum, and each has its own theme, so there should be something to suit everyone.”
Sessions can be booked on Stevenage Museum's website, by emailing museum@stevenage.gov.uk or by calling 01438 218881. Parents are advised to book in advance as the sessions are often fully booked.
Stevenage Museum is free to visit, and is open from 10am until 4.30pm Wednesday to Friday, and from 10am until 5pm on Saturdays.
