Herts police officers have been cracking down on drug crime in Stevenage with a series of arrests in recent weeks.
The Operation Scorpion team at Hertfordshire Constabulary, made up of six polices officers, focuses on gathering and acting on intelligence surrounding drug crimes.
Within the last two weeks, they have arrested multiple people in connection with drugs offences.
Officers stopped and searched a vehicle in the Pin Green area that they believed was linked with drug dealing. Suspected class A drugs and cash were recovered, a man from London was arrested, and the investigation continues.
Separately, a young teenage boy made off from police in Stevenage town centre. He was detained and searched outside the indoor market, with suspected class A and class B drugs recovered. The boy, from London, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
Then, on Tuesday, July 4, a man was seen behaving suspiciously on Silam Road and searched. Class A drugs were sized, and the man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. The man, also from London, provided police with false details, and was remanded in custody.

Finally, on Thursday, July 6, Operation Scorpion Officers worked with their Safer Neighbourhood Team colleagues to execute a drug warrant in the Shephall area, with an investigation continuing.
