A man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill after a police stand-off in Letchworth last night.
Officers were called to a property in Middlefields at around 7.30pm on Monday, June 26, following reports of a disturbance and a man seen with a knife.

A man refused to leave the address and officers negotiated with him for several hours to resolve the situation safely.
He was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and remains in police custody at this time.

The road was closed while the incident came to a safe conclusion.
