An 11-year-old child was taken to hospital with serious injuries yesterday (Monday, June 26) after a crash involving two vans near Junction 7 of the A1(M), travelling northbound.
Police were called at 5.22pm to reports of a road traffic collison, and the carriageway was closed by officers while emergency services attended the scene.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire police said: "An 11-year-old child was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
"Both vehicles were recovered and the carriageway was re-opened shortly after 6.30pm."
