Police officers have been carrying out speed checks in Stevenage following complaints from members of the public, Hertfordshire Constabulary said.
These speed checks have been conducted along Gresley Way and Martins Way by Stevenage Safer Neighbourhood Officers.
"Speeding in both of these locations is currently a policing priority for your local officers, as a result of feedback from local residents," said a spokesperson for Herts police.
"On this occasion, traffic offence reports were issued to several drivers, one of whom was driving 80mph in a 40mph road!"
