The opening date for an award-winning new Mexican restaurant coming to Hitchin has finally been revealed.

Plan Burrito will open its doors at 7 Sun Street on Monday, May 22, with the foodies set to flock to the town's newest business.

The restaurant, which is occupying the unit formerly home to the Bella Vita Hotel and Restaurant, will be open from 12pm to 10pm Monday to Saturday, and 12pm to 8pm on Sundays.

"That’s right! Believe your eyes, Plan Burrito will be unwrapping it’s doors this coming Monday," read a social media post from the restaurant.

Plan Burrito was established in Loughbrough in 2015, and has quickly grown with stores now open in Scotland and London.

The company has won plenty of awards too, including Best Street Food In England at the 2022 National Food Awards.
