A hotel has suddenly closed to the public indefinitely due to "government business", leaving customers - including couples who had booked the venue for their wedding - without a place to go.
Yesterday (Tuesday), Needham House Hotel in Little Wymondley emailed customers who have upcoming reservations at the hotel to tell them their bookings have been cancelled.
The email from the front desk team says: "I am very sorry to have to email you regarding your stay with us.
"Due to government business in the hotel, we have had to close with immediate effect. This does unfortunately mean we will not be able to accommodate your stay with us. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
