A planning application has been submitted to build a new life sciences campus in Stevenage - one of the largest of its kind in Europe.
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) first announced plans for a 33-acre campus next to its main research and development site on Gunnels Wood Road in 2021.
Last year, UBS Asset Management formed a joint venture with property developer Reef Group to take the development forward, and a planning application has now been submitted to Stevenage Borough Council.
The application details a life sciences campus which will provide state-of-the-art laboratory and associated facilities across 15 buildings, along with two extensions to the existing GSK campus.

The new development, if approved, is expected to deliver up to £900m of new investment and provide space for up to 5,000 new jobs.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, when he visited GSK in Stevenage last year, said the new campus will "cement our status as a global leader in life sciences".
Tony Wood, chief scientific officer designate at GSK, said it "will add much-needed laboratory space and facilities for new companies".

A decision is due to be made by July 19.
