A driver has been assaulted during an altercation on the hard shoulder of the A1(M) near Letchworth.
The incident happened between 3.40pm and 4pm on Tuesday last week. It was reported that two male drivers stopped on the hard shoulder of the southbound carriageway, between Junctions 8 and 9.
One of the drivers was subsequently assaulted and the keys to his Ford Transit van were stolen, before the suspect made off in a white vehicle.
The victim was uninjured.

The suspect is described as a white man, around 5ft 9in tall, of stocky build, with brown hair and a beard.
PC Joe Massey, who is investigating, said: "Our enquiries are continuing at this time to trace the driver involved. As part of the investigation, we’d like to hear from any witnesses who think they may have seen the incident, or the events leading up to it.
"I’d be particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dash cam footage. If you were travelling in the area around the time and have one fitted, please review any footage and contact us if you think you may have captured something of note. Thank you."
