A defibrillator installed in a Stevenage park has been left damaged by vandals.
The life-saving equipment at St Nicholas pavilion cost around £2,000 to install and was funded by local councillors.
According to Stevenage Borough Council the cabinet was smashed and the batteries were stolen on Wednesday night or yesterday morning (March 2).

Stevenage Borough Council took to social media and said: "Look what has been done to the defibrillator at St Nicholas pavilion.
"This is disgusting as there is now no defibrillator there for people to use in an emergency."

The vandalism has been reported to Herts police.
