After weeks of work, half of the Icon office building in Stevenage has now been demolished to make way for seven tower blocks of flats.
Workmen are now demolishing the central section of the imposing building - known locally as 'the eagle', due to its shape.
Seven tower blocks of flats up to 16 storeys high are due to be built on the Lytton Way site in spring.

Stevenage Borough Council refused planning permission for the controversial development of 576 flats, concerned about the height, design and appearance of the development, and that the project would be "an over development of the site".
The local authority also raised concerns over the "demand on the infrastructure", but two subsequent public inquiries found in the developer's favour.
