Amateur footballers from Stevenage's MAN vs Fat sessions have lost an incredible 57 stone over the past year.
Taking place every Thursday evening at Shephalbury Sports Academy, in Broadhall Way, the sessions are aimed at men with a BMI of higher than 27.5.
Before matches, players are weighed, followed by a 30-minute game of six-a-side football, with extra goal bonuses awarded to teams based on their weight loss.
The sessions have clearly been working in Stevenage, with the group shedding 800 pounds in 2022.
Among them is Fraser Watt, who lost three-and-a-half stone with the help of the MAN vs FAT.
"I was hooked from the first session," he said.
"It’s great to play the game you love and being part of a team that helps each other, while losing weight along the way.
"This is the first weight loss programme that has worked for me. You feel at ease, there are no big egos - just a great bunch of guys and it’s very well run.
"My starting weight was 18 stone and three pounds, I’m now down to 14 stone and nine pounds - so it has really helped me get fitter."
