The community has got behind a Stevenage family "who lost everything in a tragic house fire", raising more than £1,200 for them at a special fundraising event.
A fire at their home last month has left the Glencross family homeless, prompting family-run pub Tom Tiddlers Tavern in Filey Close, Stevenage, to hold a fundraising event for the family-of-six on Saturday.
The event included live music, a bouncy castle, hot dog stand, raffle and buffet, raising a total of £1,253.80.

She said: "They have lost everything. They literally do not even own a pair of shoes. Their whole house went up on flames and the family are lucky to be alive today.
"This family have to build their whole lives up again. They are very close friends of mine and it breaks my heart seeing them with nothing."
