At that time, a group of teenagers were reportedly involved in a fight in which chairs were thrown.

A woman, eating in the restaurant at the time, sustained injuries to her arm while trying to prevent a young child from being hit by one of the chairs.

The group then fled the scene.

Investigator Tara Adams-Cook said: "The violent actions of those involved left a completely innocent member of the public with injuries to her arm and unable to work.

"This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

"Our enquiries are continuing at this time to trace those involved and I am appealing for anyone who saw what happened, or who may have captured any footage, to please come forward.
