Featuring both magnificent period costumes and corny gags, The New Adventures of Robinson Crusoe is heading to the Meppershall stage.
In the latest HATS panto, Sir Percival Pennypinch is looking for an offshore bank to deposit his treasure, and enlists Robinson Crusoe, his sweetheart Polly Perkins, his mother Mrs Crusoe, and two layabouts: Hale and Hearty.
The crew is shipwrecked thanks to Davy Jones, and they land on the island of Migrainia, ruled by Queen Paracetomol and Princess Codine.
Adventure ensues, but - aided by the Coral Fairy - it all ends happily.
Robinson is played by Stephen Mitchell from Stevenage, and Chloe Price from Wilstead plays Polly.
Lee Masters plays Davy Jones, Jamie Ward plays the pantomime dame, Cat Cleverley plays the princess and Karen Mitchell plays Robinson's brother Billy.
Hale and Hearty are played by Paula Hemmings and Rachel Hall.
The panto also features Keith Lander as Sir Percival and Liz Stevens as the fairy, and is directed by Bridgette Whitaker.
Performances are at Meppershall Village Hall on Saturday and Sunday, January 28 and 29, and Saturday and Sunday, February 3 and 4, with matinees at 2.30pm and evening performances at 7.30pm.
