Stephen McPartland, the MP for Stevenage, has resumed his part-time job with Furniture Village.
He had stepped down from the role last summer, when he was appointed security minister in July as part of then-Prime Minister Boris Johnson's interim government.
However, after quitting his ministerial post in September - when Liz Truss became PM - he sent a request to the government's Advisory Committee on Business Appointments, asking to resume his role as a non-executive director with Furniture Village.
Permission was granted by the committee in October, but was only made public shortly before Christmas.
The commitee were informed that "the understanding was you would return [to the Furniture Village role] when the new government was formed and you stepped aside from this role to allow you to step in as a minister for a couple of months to help with national security during the interim government".
According to the House of Commons' latest register of members' interests, McPartland began working for Furniture Village again on October 31 last year and is being paid £4,166.67 per month - equivalent to £50,000 per year.
Mr McPartland earns a salary of £84,144 per year as an MP.
He was previously a director of Furniture Village between December 2014 and July 2022. On 30 June 2022, just seven days before he was appointed security minister, he received a £5,000 bonus from the company.
Mr McPartland has been contacted for comment.
