A pop-up pub is set to open in Hitchin for residents to enjoy the World Cup, as England kick off their tournament this afternoon.
Hitchin Town Hall will cater for all your viewing needs with the pop-up bar. Visitors will need to book their tables and pay a £10 refundable deposit.
The first game showing at the town hall will be Tuesday, Novemeber 29, when England will play Wales from 7pm. The hall and bar will be open from 6pm to 10pm.
The bar will take card payments only.
Cllr Keith Hoskins, executive member for enterprise and arts, said: “We know some football fans will want to follow this year’s World Cup so will be showing selected matches in our ‘pop-up pub’ in the Town Hall next to the Museum.
"With our large screen and well-stocked bar including a range of soft drinks, we’ll be kicking off the football fun on Tuesday 29 for England vs Wales from 6pm – see you there!”
