The Letchworth Educational Settlement will be transformed into a festive fayre next Friday (November 25).
From 3pm to 8pm the doors will be open to the public, and the annual Christmas Fayre will welcome visitors to the indoor market.
"It’s a tradition that’s taken place for many years, that the Settlement plays host to an exciting range of local artists and creatives at Christmas," said Settlement manager Nick Skinner.
"These artisans will offer a wide range of hand-made items and original works that make unique and special gifts. So come to our Christmas Fayre and know that you’ll be supporting your local creative community, as well as helping to raise funds that enable the Settlement to continue its charitable work."
In addition to two large rooms filled with makers and their creations, visitors to the event will also find the Settlement Christmas raffle.
Ticket buyers could win a hamper stuffed with gifts for pampering, or filled with food and drink for indulging with family and friends.
There’s even an exclusive star prize of a special tour around famous London sights with a knowledgeable and entertaining Blue Badge Guide. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the fayre, but are also available to purchase now from the Settlement office in Nevells Road.
The Settlement Fayre takes place on the first day of the Letchworth Christmas weekend.
On Saturday, November 26, not only are there festive workshops taking place in the morning at the Settlement – choose between Christmas wreath or Christmas card making – the big ‘lights switch on’ takes place in the town centre later that day.
