A Stevenage mum has started a campaign to provide warm coats to Hertfordshire's children.
Laura Hazelton, 40, began the campaign on Monday, October 10.
The venture allows the giving and receiving of pre-loved coats between families.
Explaining her motivation for starting the venture, Laura told the Comet: "I'm a mum, I've got two children. I think everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment.
"When the weather starts to turn, I think all families find it hard to keep their children clothed in winter coats, wellies etc."
Asked whether Coats 4 Kids will continue beyond this winter, Laura continued: "I'd love to be able to do it for winters ahead.
"It's just me at the moment but, if it took off, I'd love to be able to offer this as a resource that families could come to."
Coat donations and requests can be made to Laura's venture by visiting the Coats 4 Kids Facebook page (www.facebook.com/coats4kidsherts).
Laura has also created a Facebook group to support those in need (www.facebook.com/groups/coats4kidsherts).
