A campaign to rid Hitchin of litter is underway.
The Big Hitchin Tidy Up will be held again for the second time this year with more sites being suggested and more volunteers offering to help every day, including the team at McDonalds, on Nightingale Road.
The event will take place next month with open spaces in the town tackled including Butts Close, Ransom’s Recreation Ground and the Cricket Club ground and paths.
Footpaths and roadways which will be cleared include the Charlton area, Common Rise and Bearton Green, and an area behind Cheshire Homes.
The Big Hitchin Tidy Up takes place at most locations on Sunday, October 12 from 10am - 12 noon.
For more information, or to volunteer to help with one of the areas, email litter@hitchinforum.org.uk or visit the Hitchin Forum website www.hitchinforum.org.uk.
