Home retail store Marks & Spencer has announced plans to close the top floor of its Stevenage branch.
A spokesman for Marks & Spencer said: “Our outlet clearance business needs fewer stores because more people are shopping online. Our clothing team is managing stock levels better than ever before. We have therefore proposed the closure of the top floor of our outlet in Stevenage.”
The store says the 14 employees affected by the plans have been offered new jobs both at the site Stevenage site and other nearby stores. The top floor will close on September 27.
