Baldock firefighters came to the rescue of a muntjac deer that got stuck between railings in a residential Letchworth street last night.
The call came in at about 11.15pm, with the animal stuck between railings in Sparhawke, near Grange Junior School and Northfields Infants’ and Nursery School.
A crew from Baldock & Letchworth fire station attended and released the deer.
Muntjac deer are among the many animals that inhabit Norton Common, a Local Nature Reserve that is few hundred yards away.
