Staff at Letchworth Veterinary Centre said goodbye to a long serving vet on Friday.
Senior vet Donald Gillon, who has been a vet at the centre for almost 38 years, hung up his white coat for the last time as he heads into retirement.
He said; “I would like to thank all the clients and colleagues for their kind gifts, cards and for the fond wishes I have received over the last few weeks.
“I have been at the practice a long time and I feel thankful to have worked with so many good people over the years.
“I would like to thank Jeremy Lintott especially, my friend and business partner for many years for helping me develop the practice. I know the staff will continue the good work and that Jayne Schouten, the incoming clinical director, will continue to ensure the quality of service our clients have been used to.”
