A man in his 30s was arrested at Hitchin railway station on Friday afternoon on suspicion of a grooming offence.
Officers from the British Transport Police attended the scene at 1.35pm to reports of a man allegedly trying to meet with an underage girl.
Hertfordshire police are continuing to investigate.
