Those struggling with the rising cost of their weekly shop can attend food education sessions next week.
North Herts council's Healthy Hub team is supporting the British Nutrition Foundation's sustainable diet campaign by running a series of food lessons during national Healthy Eating Week, June 13-17.
Councillor Judi Billing, executive member for community engagement, said: "We’re not trying to tell people what to eat – this whole week is about helping people by providing information and useful, practical tips on eating more healthily, and particularly how to do that on a shrinking budget at this difficult time."
From Monday, June 13, families can attend morning food and soft play sessions in Baldock, Weston and Knebworth.
For adults without children, an afternoon lesson on budget healthy eating is also available in Baldock on Saturday, June 18.
