MAXINE HAWKES
(née Hill) Formerly of Shefford, and long term resident of Stevenage Old Town where she worked in Barclays Bank for over 25 years and in her formative years brought up in St. Albans & Knebworth. Passed away peacefully at Henrietta House Care Home, Bedford on Tuesday 9th March after a short illness. Beloved wife of the late Stevenage Chiropodist Robert Wilfred Hawkes MRCH SRCH (former Flight Sergeant in Lancaster 166 Squadron WWII) and much loved mother to Maxine (Sandra) and Paul, and grandchildren Kate, Anna, Rhys, Glyn and Sian and great grandmother to Jim, Lily and Benedict. Burial will take place at the St. Albans Woodland Trust Natural Burial Trust, Keysoe, Bedfordshire on Friday 25th March at 4pm. Family flowers only.
