Reports of unregistered XL Bully dogs have led to a Hitchin property being raided by Hertfordshire police.

The warrant was conducted yesterday (Tuesday, April 30) at an address in Moss Way, and saw several animals seized.

The dogs will now be inspected by specialist officers after the breed was banned in February this year.

A man has also been arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a prohibited breed. He has since been released on police bail.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "Officers conducted a warrant yesterday (Tuesday, April 30) at an address in Moss Way, Hitchin following reports of dogs suspected of being unregistered XL Bullies.
