A driver who was found to have no valid insurance has had their vehicle seized in Letchworth.

Officers from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit stopped the vehicle yesterday (Wednesday, July 31).

The driver of the 'headturning' vehicle was found to have no valid insurance, with their previous policy having expired in February this year.

Officers reported the driver, and seized their vehicle.

Driving without insurance is illegal, and can lead to a fixed penalty of £300 and six penalty points.

If a case goes to court, it can also lead to an unlimited fine and a ban from driving.
