Staff members at the location of the theft identified the vehicle in which the suspect had left and the police sprung into action.

Officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit stopped the vehicle in Luton's Hitchin Road at around 4.20pm and arrested a 38-year-old man from Luton on suspicion of theft. He was also found to have no insurance, and the vehicle - which was seized - was untaxed.

The stolen car parts were returned and the suspect was released with no further action taken.
