A man has died after a crash on the A10 Buntingford bypass earlier today (Saturday, February 10).
Police officers were called to the scene at around 6.35am this morning, and arrested a man in his 50s on suspicion of drink driving and causing death by dangerous driving.
Three cars were involved in the collision - a Porsche, a Nissan and an Audi. The driver of the Audi sadly died at the scene.
A woman has also been taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precautionary measure.
Herts police have put road closures in place while they conduct their enquiries, and they are now appealing for any witnesses or anybody who may have dashcam footage to come forward.
Sergeant Nicholas Kane, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s loved ones at this very difficult time.
"We are in the early stages of our investigation and are working to establish the full circumstances of the collision.
“I’d like to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area and may have witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it.
“If you have a dashcam fitted, please check your footage as you may have captured something that could assist with our investigation. If you have any information, please email me at Nicholas.Kane@herts.police.uk.”
